Media Range Limitation is a feature built in of squid. Media Range Limitation is used to download just the required data is requested from the server and not the whole file. This feature is implemented in videos streaming websites like Youtube and Metacafe, etc. If a user clicks to the middle of the video progress bar, the server can begin to send data from the middle of the file, rather than sending the entire file from the beginning and the user waiting for the preceding data to finish loading.
