The Default Mode of D-Link DIR-600L is Router Mode. In Router Mode, The Router Releases DHCP to the clients to network.
I am going to explain how you can configure this router as an Access Point (AP).
first Log into the D-Link DIR-600 using ip http://192.168.0.1.

Worthless info. What you have given is already known. what is needed is configuration settings like IP, DHCP, port to which LAN cable is to be connected...
ReplyDeleteThanks for your opinion. I have published this just to show this model has the option to use it as "Access point", not just router. One difference is, the AP doesn't give its own DHCP, it will get the DHCP from another DHCP server in the network. This configuration is useful in larger networks where you have multiple APs and you want to track the IPs of your clients for Access control or access logs etc. All the deviced you get in the market doesn't support this option, since most of them are designed for home use
