2.  Issues Fixed in Switch 2848-SFP Plus Release 1.0.3.3
The following issues have been resolved in this release of this software.
2.1  SFP Interoperability
• Occasionally, the switch may not correctly detect the insertion of an SFP module,
and the port may not reliably link up. This has been fixed in this release of code.
2.2  Operation of Discovery Application 
• The IP address stored in the switch has not being reported correctly to the 3Com
Discovery application when the switch IP address mode is set to “DHCP”. This has
been fixed in this release of code.
2.3  Assignment of IP Address 
• It has not been possible to allocate an IP address of xx.yy.zz.00 to the switch. This
has been fixed in this release of code.
3.  Upgrading Software
For instructions on how to upgrade the Switch to this firmware version, please refer to
the 3Com Baseline Switch 2848-SFP Plus User Guide (part number DUA1648-6AAA01).

Please note it is only necessary to upgrade the Switch to this version of code if you have
a Switch that was supplied with a previous version of the software. If you are unsure of
the version of software in your switch, refer to the User Guide for instructions on how to
determine the Software version.
